Animal Kinship

Join Our Animal Kinship Meeting

Every 3rd Sunday of the month, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Zoom

Lovingly facilitated by Reverend Kathy Lyons

  • Do you believe that animals are sentient beings?

  • Do believe that they have an afterlife?

  • Are your companion(s) not merely pets, but part of your family?

  • Are you grieving the loss of a beloved animal, yet your friends and family don’t understand your feelings?

Come to our monthly Animal Kinship Group, where you can connect with like-minded people.  We have discussions, share stories, do guided meditation, receive grief support, and show off our “children.”  Your furry, feathered, or scaled “children” are invited, as long as they have a leash or carrier.  You are welcome to bring photos of your “kids” to the meeting as well. Here are some photos of our members’ “kids”!

Our Animal Kinship group meets every third Sunday afternoon, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., on Zoom.

Each year our ministry has a Pet Memorial Service, honoring all pets and their owners, no matter what religious affiliation. Bring a photo of your pet and share your memories. View our webpage about the Annual Pet Service Memorial for more detail (please note, this event typically takes place in the summertime. You can call the Center for information or email Rev. Kathy here.)
